To my surprise it did! I guess the nodes were having the same issue that they were in Backburner in which they couldn’t get through the firewall to grab the V-Ray license. To this point- I ended up trying out a DR just for kicks yesterday to see if it would work. There are some hiccups, but in general its very stable I can assure you it is stable - i an office we had it running on 10+ machines with 300+mb scenes Just saw in your inital post that you tried dr In case you are wondering what i am talking about: I see you just went through installing backburner and so on - but i strongly recommend to go for the DR-service. Plus you will have a lot of headaches with the light cache not working properly. Those became obsolete with distributed rendering in vray… Just wondering why you are rendering strips? I can’t get Backburner to work with VRay because it always errors out due to a licensing issue. Now, my boss (the guy who creates all the scenes) uses VRay for all his work. Basic setup wasn’t extremely difficult, and I got scenes using Mental Ray to render out split scan lines. So upon recommendation from our reseller I have been attempting to get Backburner to work for me. I tried for a couple of weeks to utilize VRay’s Distributed Rendering, but wow(!) it’s too unreliable to be useful.
